Wilson Sossion was officially removed from office, revealed on Friday a notice from the Trade Unions Registrar.
The letter to the Kenya National Teachers Union (KNUT) reads: “I would like to tell you that I have recorded the Notice of Change of Officers for the appointment made on 29 August 2019.”
Chairman of KNUT, Wycliffe Omucheyi, disclosed that the suspension of Sossion continues and Hesbon Otieno Agola remains the current Secretary-General of the union.
In 2018, Sossion was suspended for ignoring a directive on gross misconduct and show-cause-why accusations.
Mr. Omucheyi said on Friday that owing to’ anomalies’ the National Executive Council agreed to substitute Sossion.
“Instead of the steering committee, he was seen running the office alone. We recommended that he work with us, but he didn’t, “said Mr. Omucheyi.
According to him, when he used’ bad language’ in relation to Nancy Macharia, CEO of the Education CS George Magoha and Teachers Service Commission, Sossion soothed their ties with the state.
He also charged Sossion with insulting the presidency by claiming that the roadside made an appointment. The Chairman further rubbished allegations that KNUT is a state puppet stating he should deal with them separately if Sossion has problems with the state.
