Karua loses Supreme Court petition against Waiguru’s election

Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua’s Supreme Court rejected a petition challenging the election of Anne Mumbi Waiganjo (formerly Ann Waiguru) as governor of Kirinyaga.

After losing to the High Court and Court of Appeal where the case was rejected, Karua had transferred to the Supreme Court.

Justice Isaac Lenaola read out the decision issued on Tuesday for five judges hearing and determining the case.

As a consequence, Justice Lenaola said the Supreme Court had no jurisdiction to handle the matter and upheld the two smaller courts ‘ rulings.
