Is Joe Mwangi, former Wendy Waeni's manager a serial con?

Renowned former manager of gymnast Wendy Waeni, Joe Mwangi, said in January he helped the 14-year-old girl get her college charges paid.

Speaking on Ebru TV during Chipukeezy Show tonight, the former manager stated he wrote a midnight email to President Uhuru Kenyatta, explaining the issue of college charges for Ms Waeni.

“Nilitext mzee wa government house saa sita usiku (I was writing president Uhuru at 12 o’clock), I told him that Wendy required some college charges,” he said.

He went ahead and alleged that the following day, Fred Matiang’i, Interior Cabinet Secretary, appealed to the head of the St. Georges High School.

“She was told to acknowledge Wendy and the college charges would be paid the next day. Ksh 53,000 was paid for a whole year,” Chipukeezy advised him.

The 14-year-old gymnast had verified that her college charges were being paid by the CS during the JKL show on Citizen TV.
