Facebook has suspended pre-installation of its apps on Huawei devices. This comes as the latest blow after the tech giant had its business flop with the US.
Facebook who owns WhatsApp and Instagram and previously these apps came as pre-installed will now not allow this. The previous devices will still have these apps. Facebook told Reuters.
This move tends to spoil Huawei business where it had a previous engagement where they were pre-installed. WhatsApp, however, refused to comment on this issue.
The move by Facebook dampens the sales outlook for Huawei Technologies, whose smartphone business became its biggest revenue generator last year, powered by strong growth in Europe and Asia.
