The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Has stated that there is enough evidence to prove that Tecra Muigai was murdered.
According to the DCI boss, George Kinoti the DCI, withing the period of investigations, they have gathered enough evidence to prove the cause of death which was not an accident as it was initially stated.
“We have enough evidence to prove that it was murder,” Kinoti is quoted by the Standard.
The death of Tecra Muigai, the daughter to Keroche CEO Tabitha Karanja and chairman Joseph Muigai Karanja, has remained a mystery that is yet to be solved.
Tecra’s family, through their lawyer James Orengo, believe that Tecra’s fall was intentioned while Omar Lali, the boyfriend to the deceased and one who was with her on the night she fell off a flight of stairs, maintains that the fall was an accident.
Omar Lali, who had been in detention for 27 days, was set free on a bond of Ksh 300,000 on Wednesday, May 27.
