Huawei, one of the leading telecoms provider has over a period of time suffered in the hands of United States after it was feared that it could be working closely with the China government as a spy in which, Huawei has strongly denied this.
China through its Britain ambassador Liu Xiaming has defended the brand stating that the country should not block the 5G project the company is inniting.
China has also stated that the company has over time been known for its good rapport on matters of security and Britain should not be quick to discriminate.
Fears has overtime come that Britain might decide to barn Huawei’s 5G Network and restrict its access in the country.
Liu also notes that the security risks when it mostly comes to 5G penetration it is understandable but it is something that can be discussed over.
“The last thing the world needs is the introduction of any sort of discriminatory measures towards companies involved in 5G network development. The last thing China expects from a truly open and fair ‘global Britain’ is a playing field that is not level,” he wrote.
Liu said security concerns about the development of 5G networks were understandable but could be managed.
